My Investigation on climate change
ACIDIFICATION
DEFINITION:
What is happening to the oceans?
Global warming is causing sea levels to rise, threatening the coastal population, also resulting in oxygen depletion that kills marine plants and shellfish. Factories and industrial plants discharge sewage and other runoff into the oceans.
What does this do to shellfish? The shell starts to decay from the animal which is not good for it.
HOW DOES CLIMATE CHANGE CONTRIBUTE TO THE ACIDIFICATION OF OUR OCEANS?
Oceans are becoming more acidic after the Industrial Revolution is no accident. As humans burn more and more fossil fuels, the concentration of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere continues to rise, driving climate change and making both air and sea temperatures hotter and hotter.

DEFINITION:
What are trees used for?
Paper, shade and shelter, timber for construction, fuel for cooking and heating, and fruit for food.
HOW DOES DEFORESTATION AFFECT THE CLIMATE?

ICECAP MELT
DEFINITION:
If all the ice melted what would happen?
If all the ice covering Antarctica, Greenland, and in mountain glaciers around the world were to melt, sea level would rise about 70 meters (230 feet). The ocean would cover all of the coastal cities and then the land area would shrink significantly.
HOW DOES ICECAP MELT AFFECT CLIMATE CHANGE?
The sea levels are rising and affecting coastal areas

WATER VAPOUR
DEFINITION:
HOW DOES WATER VAPOUR AND EVAPORATION CONTRIBUTE TO CLIMATE CHANGE?
Water evaporates from the land and sea, which eventually returns to Earth as rain and snow. Climate change intensifies this cycle because as air temperatures increase, more water evaporates into the air.
