The buildings names are called Tieke, Riroriro and Mahua. The building that we are in is Tieke. We are the building on the far side of the school. I was hoping that we were in the middle building but now I actually like being at the far end of the school.
The building are named after birds. Tieke means thanks. T is for tough for you are not easily broken. Riroriro means a small, slender, insect-eating songbird of greenish-grey colouring with a darker tail tipped white has n undulating floating, feather-like flight. Last but not least Mohua. It means a small insect-eating bird which lives only in the forests of New Zealand's south island and Stewart Island.
When we moved into the new buildings I saw that all of them were identical and that none of them were actually different to the others except that Japanese was in one Building and Art was in another so all of the different classrooms were all in different buildings.
When we moved into the new buildings I thought that there was going to be fewer classrooms and that we would have had a bigger workspace to learn in but we didn't which is kind of disappointing to me because we have 2 classes in one medium-sized room.
When we moved into the new buildings I felt quite squished in the little space that each of our classrooms that we had because they were much smaller than where we were working in before such and the science lab and the art room. Before we actually moved into these new buildings we were working in the classrooms that we were in before/The classes that are moving into Hornby Primary.
I was surprised by how long these classes took to build and how much money it cost to actually get them built. Overall of the new building that was built like that learning commons, The learning stream and these new Kahuis, it took 2 years to build and it cost 27million dollars to get these NEW building/Kahuis.
Overall I really appreciate everything that we have got. I like what classroom we are in which is the one at the far end. I thought that these buildings were gonna be a little bit smaller in the inside but actually, it is really big.
