My Semester in ICT
Summary blog post

During this semester we have learned multiple things using an HP desk computer. In the first term, we learned about cybersafety and Basic document layouts, etc.

What we were learning in term 1

Last term we learned many things. One of my favorites from the last term was when we were doing basic designing which was when we did these Disney posters and Kids eat free. The way we had to design it was by following a piece of paper and designing for ourselves such as changing the font, using different shapes and sizes, and different coloring. I think we had to make 3 or 4 each but I think I only ended up making 3 of the Disney one and 2 of the kids eat free. This was split into 2 parts and we all did these in different weeks.

One of the things that we did that term was learning about cyber safety and after we had learned more about it we had to create a Kahoot. We got assigned work on typing.com that we had to do where we had to answer. Here is the Kahoot that I had made.

What we were learning in term 2

Word Document

During the time that we were using Pronto books, we were learning how to break our texts and put them into columns. I don't actually remember a whole lot from this since it was from the very start of the term and we have learnt heaps of other things after this. Some of the work from the pronto book that we had to do was Bonsai and At the movies.

Publisher

When using publisher we were learning how to make calendars. We had to start from scratch. I learned how to add a picture and make it as a background. publisher was a simple app and it was almost like google slides but it just had more features to it. Using publisher it was easy to present work like how we made a calendar and the app publisher was very helpful because everything I needed was on there. our task was to make a 2021 calendar but unfortunately, I didn't get to finish it all because I forgot to save it so it all deleted on me. I added photos into my calendar, and it was based on cherry blossoms.

Excel

The last tool that we used for this was excel.  In my opinion, excel was one of my favorites out of all of the tools that we had learned before. Using Excel We learned how to merge texts, Auto sum (where the computer will answer the question for you whether it's multiplication or times), and more. This was probably one of the more challenging tools we used but it was also one of the more exciting tools. But here is the work that I worked on in excel.

Conclusion:

So it has come to an end to the first semester of ICT. ICT was full of work, but I am happy that I choose it because I got to learn many things using different tools on Microsoft. My favorite thing that we did in ICT was using excel and publisher. To sum it all up and think that this term of ICT was very helpful and also very fun.
