Elderly visit

Elderly visit
Hi guys and welcome back to my blog. Today I went down to the elderly centre. It was my first time going there and the vibe that I was getting was me being nervous. I didn't know what to think when I got there and I didn't know what to speak about.

When we got to the elderly centre I met a woman named Dorothy. I met another woman named Jude and she said that she had seen me before and asked if I had been there before and I said no, I haven't been here before. The lady that I sat next to was Dorothy. Dorothy was a lovely lady to talk to. Sometimes I didn't know what she was saying because she spoke very softly.

A little bit about Dorothy
Dorothy started to talk about how old she was and how old her husband was. Dorothy is 85 years old and her husband is 86. He is only one year older than Dorothy. She told me that she met him at the age of 15. They got engaged at the age of 17 and get married at 20. They have been married for 65 years. It is a lot of years to be married. She also told me that her husband had lost his driving license and was in the hospital. She didn't tell me why he was in hospital but I'm sure she missed him.

Morning tea time
When we had a small chat morning tea came. I sat next to Dorothy and Myra. I hadn't spoken to Myra before so I told her a little bit about myself like I did to Dorothy. When the plates, cups and food came out I had a lime juice and a cream bun. The cream bun was a little bit sweet but I still ate it. Dorothy has diabetes so she couldn't have sugar. She ate some of her lamington and one biscuit.

Going back to school
When morning tea was over it was time for us to grab our bags and head back. Dorothy was a lovely lady to talk to and I wish we had more time to speak but I will be going back next week when C.I.P comes again. We started walking down to the school where the field was at the back and started our second moring tea.
