Different types of whales

Hi guys and welcome back to my blog. tody I will be posting about two different types of whales. The Ballen and the toothed. If you don't know what a baleen whale is it is those whales with those big bristled teeth that look like brooms.
Here is a photo of the baleen whale.

Here are some facts about the Ballen whale.

Baleen whales are mammals, which means that they are warm-blooded and breathe air using their lungs. They have two blowholes at the top of their body that allows them to breathe when they reach the surface of the water.

A whale's baleen plates play the most important role in its filter-feeding process. To feed, a baleen whale opens its mouth widely and scoops in dense shoals of prey (such as krill, copepods, small fish, and sometimes birds that happen to be near the shoals), together with large volumes of water.

Here are some facts about the toothed whale.

Toothed whales, as the name suggests, have teeth, which are used to hunt and eat squid, fish, and seals. Toothed whales include sperm whales, as well as dolphins, porpoises, and orcas, among others.
Some kinds of whales only have one or two teeth, while others might have 240 teeth or even more. Dental patterns can vary. Some toothed whales have teeth in both their upper and lower jaws.
I hope you have enjoyed more about whales if you were or were not interested in them. If you want I can update this with the different types of the 2 species of whale on here.

Art/Poems

Hi guys and welcome back to another blog post for this year. Today I will be blogging about wats been going on in art/poems. We have been writing poems about whatever we want and I am actually really enjoying it. I made a poems bout memories yesterday and would like to share it with you so here it is.

Memories poem

As the bright light traces my eyes
I remember all the lies
The fighting and screaming
Thinking nothing will get better
Remembering I have a letter
“Open it, it says”
I do and a bright light flashes before me
I remember all the fun times at sea
The time when life stopped and everything was perfect
When I was running with my kite
Or when it was a starry night
I open my eyes wishing it could have stayed
My ears listening to hear a sound

I hear my door swing open and my soul just drowned

I was really proud of this one better then all of the others had done. I don't know why I think this one is better than the rest but it is.
I hope you have enjoyed reading this. If I could add or change anything please tell me so I can make changes to it if needed.

Measurement

Hi guys and welcome back to another blog post. Sorry that I haven't posted in a while but will try to. Anyway today I am going to teach and show you about measurement.

  1. Millimetre ( mm ) A millimetre is about the width of a credit card
  2. Centimetre ( cm ) The metal portion of a pencil is about 1cm and a ruler is 30cm
  3. Meter ( m ) A meter is about from the ground to a doorknob
  4. Kilometre ( km ) Most major roads are about a kilometre long.

In our Hurumanu group, we have learned about Centremetres and Meters. we haven't learnt about Kilometers or Milimeeres yet but I think we will be getting to the point soon.

Here are some photos of what we are doing. Some of them you might not be able to see clearly.

Thank you for reading this blog post and if you want or need to tell me what I could have bv added in here please comment.
