PAT Preparation

PAT Preparation
W.A.L.T prepare for our end of year PAT comprehension and STAR test.

Hi guys and welcome back to my blog. Today I will be sharing with you some of my learning about the PAT and STAR test. At the start of the year my stanine was a 5. I am really proud of the stanine that I got because it is the average score that I should be at. The stanine that I am aiming for is a stanine 6.

The three PAT test's that we have to do is Comprehension, Math and Reading. The biggest one is the STAR test. You can do a STAR test on a peice of paper or on a site. When you have it on a piece of paper you have to tick the correct answer that you think it is. When you are doing it on a site you have to click the answer. When you are doing it on a site you can go back and check the answers just in case you missed anything.

  1. My goals that I am working on is to re read the whole paragragh
  2. Scroll down to make sure I didn't miss anything
  3. Read all of the answers
  4. Go back and check once finished
  5. Use pen and paper
I am really looking forward to this PAT test and STAR test.

Please comment and give feedback on my work.

  1. Hi Bailey,
good job on getting a stanine 5. Next time you could explain why you do the test. Here is some feedback when you read read to the end of the sentence because you can get some informion at the end of the sentence. Here is a question how do you feel when you do the test

  2. I feel nervous for my result. Plus you put in 2 read in your sentence that you wrote. Maybe you could change that or leave it like that because I know what you mean. You need to put a question mark at the end of your question you wrote down for me to answer. Oh and heres and qeustion for you. How did you feel when the test was over.

To support my learning I ask you to comment as follows:
1. Something positive - something you like about what I have shared.
2. Thoughtful - A sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what I had to say
3. Something helpful - how have you connected with my learning? Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.
