Hurumanu: Climate Change and the future

Aim; To look at the different ways we can prevent climate change in the future.



What places will be affected?
Pacific Islands

What else do we need to think about?
Stop using fossil fuels

What other places around NZ will be affected?
All-around and near rivers

What does this do to our drinking water?
The saltwater is going to start getting into peoples drinking water

What are the main concerns?
  1.   Fossil fuels
  2. Sea levels rising

What can we do?
  1. .To start using Hybrids or electric cars
  2. Start using public transport
  3. When you are building a house try not to use lots of energy  

What is the one, silver bullet solution?
There is no silver bullet

What is the mix of things we need to start doing?
  1.   Getting to use renewables more
  2.   Using solar heating 
  3. Getting away from fossil fuel usage like cars
What are 3 others you can think of?
  1.   Use Bikes
  2.   To use fewer fossil fuels
  3.   Use more renewable energy
